This is an example of a jerkin.
The young women’s garments are obscured by the table they sit at, but notice the flexibility of their gowns and how their hair is arranged.
I know this is a little late period for us, but look at the way the cloak is draped, yet clearly his status as a nobleman doesn’t detract from the gentleness of his garments
Notice how the servingwoman is dressed in somber clothing, perhaps a Puritan, and how the rowdy tavernmates wear bright (somehow clean) clothing. Also, how the yellow guy’s belt is situated with his knife/arms/moneypouch.
